Marketing Manager

Position location: Brazil

 

The Marketing Manager is based at our Brazil division and is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and optimization of marketing initiatives to drive brand visibility, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.  The person will act as a bridge between the company and its customers, managing both the creative direction and the analytical performance of promotional campaigns.

 

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing all marketing activities related to WECO’s products.  Provides direction through the development and execution of a strategic marketing plan, in the areas of communications, market research, analysis, product development and new product introduction. The person will be reporting to the President and CFO and will be part of the company’s significant growth and acceleration initiatives.

 

The incumbent in this role should be capable of rapidly assimilating the business and defining a marketing plan that supports the organization’s strategic priorities. The Marketing Manager will provide and develop a strategic marketing plan for WECO’s global market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategy Development: creating multi-channel marketing plans (digital, print, social) that align with overall business goals and target specific audience segments
  • Campaign Execution: Leading the end-to-end implementation of marketing programs, from developing creative briefs to managing content across customer touch points.
  • Market Research & Analysis: conducting competitor and audience research to uncover insights and using data analytics to measure campaign ROI and effectiveness.
  • Team & Budget Management: supervising internal teams or external agencies, managing marketing budget, and ensuring projects stay on track and within financial limits.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: working closely with sales, product development, and customer service teams to align messaging and go-to-market strategies.
  • Provides leadership and vision to the organization by partnering with all WECO divisions’ leaders and the executive management team with the development of long-range and annual business strategies / new business opportunities and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on these strategies
  • Supervises and coaches his/her direct reports
  • Leverage performance management and improvement systems
  • Leads through personal example that communicates integrity and consistency in decision-making
  • Oversees the preparation of reports summarizing progress on short- and long-range plans
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan to achieve forecasted results
  • Maximize the acquisition of new business opportunities by strategies such as content marketing, search campaigns, social media campaigns, event creation, production of sales material, and others
  • Create and maintain revenue growth and gross margin plans for targeted markets by extending the existing client base and spearheading new account development
  • Actively engage in the Sales & Operations planning process to drive superior service results for our customers
  • Develop strategic network intelligence channels and distribution to keep abreast of new product development activities, market trends, and pricing alternatives

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, administration or equivalent
  • 5 to 10 years of experience within the manufacturing industry environment or in a similar capacity
  • Previous experience in various countries in marketing development for an Electrical/electronic or industrial component OEM is an asset
  • Ability to structure and implement strategic plans
  • Proficient with ERP system (ODOO would be an asset)
  • Excellent English (written and spoken is mandatory; (French, Spanish, German are considered an asset)

  • Proven leadership and ability to drive sales through marketing and business development opportunities.
  • Analytical thinking: ability to interpret complex data from platforms like Google Analytics and others to inform future decisions
  • Communication: strong written and verbal skills for creating compelling content and presenting results to leadership.
  • Technical Proficiency: at ease with digital tools, marketing automation (e.g. Hubspot) and emerging AI-driven technologies for content and optimization.
  • Mature and energetic, a hands-on leader with business acumen that is motivated by challenges
  • Tenacious at driving sales results and business development opportunities
  • Excellent communicator, negotiator, and innovator with strong people and management skills
  • Highly reliable, a self-starter with the ability to execute and implement consequential change
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a continually changing and competitive environment.
